O'Neill is originally a Californian surf wear and surfboard brand, founded in 1952 by Jack O'Neill. He moved along the coast from San Francisco to Santa Cruz by the end of the decade. Jack was credited with inventing the wetsuit, and his son Pat with a surfboard leash. The company logo symbolizes a wave. "O'NEILL" and the "Wave logo" are registered trademarks worldwide.
